Default THRR-Thresher Industries Announces Breakthrough in Composite Material

Thresher Industries Announces Breakthrough in Composite Material

Press Release Source: Thresher Industries On Thursday September 22, 2011, 6:00 am EDT
HANFORD, Calif., Sept. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Thresher Industries (PinkSheets:THRR.pk - News) announced that it has completed development of a highly thermal conductive material. Thresher had received a purchase order to develop this material for use in an electronic enclosure requiring superior thermal conductivity. This material exceeds the thermal conductivity requirements for the enclosure and brings this alloy to production faster than anticipated.

Tom Flessner, President/CEO said, "Our success in developing this material demonstrates that we can engineer materials for specific markets. This purchase order for metallurgical testing and sample batch preparation was completed in less than four months. With our focus changing from production to material development we will offer data and engineering/test samples of this material to our customers and qualified casting companies along with engineering and production support."

"We will update our investors on sales volumes as orders are received. Developing this cast grade of aluminum with thermal conductivity matching billet 6061 aircraft grade material is significant; being able to cast to near net shape is game changing! Publishing the data will impact product engineering and allow American manufacturers a competitive advantage. Initial offerings will be available to American owned companies allowing us to control the use of this alloy. Process Patents are being prepared with applications to be filed within 60 days".
