well I was told the links dont work, so I will post the stories .Sheriff to Present Results of Suspect Detection Systems Pilot in Bergen County Jail Proprietary Automated Detection System Exposed Criminal Conduct Among Prison Inmates NEW YORK, June 24, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Suspect Detection Systems Inc., (SDSS.OB), proprietor of counter terrorism and crime prevention technology developed by its subsidiary Suspect Detection Systems Ltd., announced today that the Sheriff of Bergen County, New Jersey will be presenting the results of a recent pilot of the company's Cogito Technology during a session at the 70th Annual National Sheriff's Association Conference. The conference is scheduled to take place in Anaheim, California on June 25th through 30th. The recent pilot tested the ability of the proprietary Cogito rapid survey system to expose criminal behavior among prison inmates. Cogito was able to discover guilty associations as well as identify the hostile intent of prisoners to commit harmful acts within the prison walls. The Bergen County Jail is a large, 1,250 bed facility, staffed by more than 300 corrections officers. The Cogito system was tested for its ability to add a layer of protection and enhance safety for both inmates and officers. An article on the pilot written by Leo P. McGuire, Sheriff of Bergen County, appeared recently in Sheriff Magazine. To read the article, visit http://tinyurl.com/SDS-BergenCounty. "In Bergen County, we have seen promising results when administering the Cogito system as part of our traditional intake procedures," said Sheriff McGuire. "In our preliminary results, the system has proven helpful in determining if detainees are currently on drugs, have drugs on them, are involved in gang activity or may be trying to smuggle contraband into the jail." "We look forward to continuing this partnership with Suspect Detection Systems, Inc. to realize the full potential of this innovative and cutting-edge technology," Sheriff McGuire added. "We are committed to utilizing technology in a way that helps us be proactive instead of reactive," said Robert Bigott, Warden of Bergen County. "If Cogito can help us prevent dangerous situations from arising in the first place inside our doors, then it has the potential to save money, manpower and even lives." "The successful pilot in Bergen County is the first with a county sheriff's office in the United States," said Gil Boosidan, CEO of Suspect Detection Systems Inc. "We are extremely pleased with the results and hope they serve as a positive example of our technology's capabilities and its application in the large U.S. law enforcement and homeland security markets." |

This new enterprise is the sister company of a long-standing human resource company active throughout Latin America. A six-digit down payment has been advanced to the company for delivery of the system units. In addition, the sale features a revenue sharing model whereby Suspect Detection Systems and the private enterprise will divide income from each individual applicant screening. The transaction is the first multiple unit sale to a private enterprise operating in Central America. The sale follows an earlier contract with the same entity. Cogito is already being utilized by federal law enforcement agents in various Latin American countries including Mexico. "We believe that Cogito will prove particularly effective in preventing crime in Central America where criminal activity in the workplace often takes place." The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime reports that Central America is a region prone to organized crime, money laundering, drug trafficking and corruption. Such criminal activity has had a negative impact on the region's economy. (View the UNODC report at http://tiny.cc/centralamerica.) |

“Suspicion always haunts the guilty mind” William Shakespeare (1564-1616) Suspect Detection System Prevention of Sophisticated Crimes and Terrorism In the never ending fight against crime it has become prudent to progressively improve the means with which we fight crime. Whats more, the events of September 11th have fundamentally altered the global security environment. It has demonstrated that the consequences of not being able to evert such attacks or other sophisticated crimes before they happen can be very dire. In order to prevent criminal and terrorist activity, we need the capacity to detect Hostile Intent and not merely physical means of criminal activity (i.e. explosives, weapons, physical indications) before the crime is actually perpetrated. Find the bomber and not the bomb! For investigative purposes it may be useful to have the ability to peer into the subconscious of the subject and retrieve vital hidden information related to your investigation . Existing measures for detecting hostile intent and hidden information are limited, often inaccurate, time consuming and expensive. The challenge is exponentially greater when this information is required in REAL TIME. Thus, what is required is a centrally managed, rapid interrogation tool for detecting hostile intent and hidden information so as to tip the scales in favor of law enforcement once again The Suspect Detection System (SDS) CAPE ALLIANCE presents the state of the art SDS: SDS enables rapid interrogations which allows any operator to meet these challenges without the employ of a professional interrogator. Based on the combined analysis of Psycho-Physiological indications and unique interrogation methods, the system can distinguish in six minutes those criminals, employees, terrorist, smugglers or collaborators with Hostile Intent and have or intend to commit a crime. Additionally it will give the operator an indication of how best to proceed with their investigation. The operation of the system is simple and requires minimal training for an agent or operator who has basic computer literacy http://web.me.com/cape.alliance/sd/About.html |
